I am a self-taught artist based in Chicago and West Palm Beach, Florida. My work is rooted in abstraction and driven by an intuitive exploration of color, shape, texture, and movement.

Working primarily with acrylic and oil paints on canvas, often incorporating mixed-media elements, I approach each painting as an evolving conversation. I rarely begin with a predetermined outcome. Instead, the work develops gradually through layering, adding, obscuring, scraping back, and rebuilding. Each decision responds to what came before it, allowing unexpected forms, relationships, and moments of tension or harmony to emerge.

I am particularly drawn to the way color and texture can

communicate emotion without relying on recognizable imagery. Layers reveal traces of the painting’s history, while areas that have been removed or altered become as important as those that remain. This process of discovery and revision gives each piece its own visual language and sense of depth.

Painting provides me with a means of expression unlike anything else. The physical act of working with paint—the movement, spontaneity, and continual transformation of the surface—is essential to my creative process.

Ultimately, I want my paintings to remain open to interpretation. Rather than directing the viewer toward a specific meaning, I hope to create work that invites exploration and encourages each person to form their own connection with it. I hope the work evokes curiosity, inspires imagination, and creates a moment for personal reflection.
